about chiobu, gurmit and casino
19:15 - 19.04.05

i've been called chiobu leh.... by some students. and THAT made my day for the rest of the week. yeah, i know it's only tuesday. i figured i won't be having much fun in the week since i'll be working till sunday it's things like this that pushes me to do things better every single time i face visitors here. for me, i might be doing these things everyday and there's nothing special about it. but i guess for visitors like them, it's always their first experience being here. anyway, these cheeky nice kids said nice things to me and seemed genuinely grateful to me for telling them a bit of our history.

it makes me wonder sometimes if i could ever be a good teacher, if i ever decided to be one. i like to inform people about things. i like to communicate. i like to interact with other human beings. will that suffice to be a teacher educator? the satisfaction comes when they scoot off say thank you.

my eyes suffered the worse during the weekends cos i was hangin out late with my cousin and friends. i am still questioning myself how i ever had enough energy to be working the whole week last week and STILL go out till late nights on weekends. AND still come to work on time on monday. i guess the tongkat ali chocolates helped a lot for that extra push for energy. anyway, i went to barnone on sunday with my friends and him. had loads of fun hanging out with them, especially with a good band to listen to. we even had a photo taken with gurmit! haha... now that i mentioned it, i just wondered why we didn't bother taking a photo with BJ. hahahaha.

my mum was mildly irritated with me yesterday when i tuned in to listen to parliament session on 5.. well, i told her i was gonna to work there it concerns everyone's future. but i hardly think she boought that. i don't see enough reason for singapore to push off the casino idea anymore. since i was in school, i've always thought that having a casino is a good idea. if not for anything else, it's for the economy. and since i was already looking forward to working in the IR we cannot lose out, might as well jump on the wagon.
