the de-stress trip to melaka yesterday worked for a while as i forgot about work and just basked in the environment in m'sia. at last count, there were about 21 cows that i saw along the highway and village. ate like a pig.. of course, i am one following my chinese zodiac but i totally felt like a pig with a capital p cos i was eating rice with asam pedas, burgers, kenny rogers, baskin robbins and seafood all in one day! the only thing i didn't get was the dunkin donuts. how sad.. melaka decided to remove the donuts to make way for starbucks. modernisation takes its toll on everyone.. tsk tsk.. so we arived SIN at about 12am cos of the jam without my donuts... must make it a point to go there again to get donuts.. babe.. can we borrow a car, please?? hehehe...
i spent a lovely time with him the past few days. it's about 300 odd days away.. nope, not done anything yet but he did design our wedding card.
it's very 60s.. with the orange circles. and that's about the only thing that started. my parents have not said a word about my wedding cos we always end up fighting about it. so, i've let it rest and am just not sure how i can ever talk to them again about it.
i'll be busy helpin my boy out with his bestfriend's wedding over the weekends. that is, IF i can find someone to replace me at work this weekend. i hope the wedding goes smoothly for him. :)
anyway, had a good conversation and plan for the upcoming project @ the Centre. after goin thru history yesterday..err.. wait, i work in a historical place.. i meant, MORE historical fun facts at melaka, am saddened by the state of affairs of our "royal" family. whatever happened to our history of kings and queens.. the juicy stories, deceit, lies glorious years? melaka was THE place to be in the peninsular back then! so, it was kinda strange to know that melaka is one of the states without any royals shit. if the europeans can be proud of the royal family, why can't we? will be going in deeper into research about the malays.. it's one of those things that make me proud to be a melayu. but what i HATE about the malays is their shallowness in..err.. everything? no vision for the future, no plans whatsoever. i just got a call from this guy who is demanding payment for his service.. nothing wrong with that, right? sure.. but the event was just last weekend. even a corporate company will give a grace of 30 days for payments. ni lah.. orang melayu. kalau pasal duit, no 1. kalau suruh kerja, this cannot, that cannot. and you dare tell me that we're the ones who issue late payments? you fuck head. do you have any idea how many invoices we receive in a day? you want to complain about my attitude? fine... go ahead. you didn't show me any respect, i gave you what you deserved. am not gonna be nice no more.. and if there's anyone to be blamed for this change of attitude in the young people, it'll be you.. your generation of narrow-minded old foggies.
