the past few days have been quite stressful for me. hah! so strange am enjoying myself but this place just doesnt do it for me, man... it's too... peaceful. i don't see many people around cos they'd rather stay in their homes or shopping malls. they don't go to restaurants either unless it's after mass. hehehhe.. it's a good break nonetheless and am bringing home with me some valuable lessons.
we went to some places, so far hakim has been a good planner. covering almost all the major must-see-places. apart from the warmth of the house, the best place so far is fremantle. went to eat not-so-great-and-fish-taste-tarty-when-it-gets-cold "fish & chips". went for a guided tour around the old prison. nice to be guided around for once, i guess. to ask questions instead of being asked.
the rest, i would say is just.... nice. after stayin here for a couple of days, am not so sure if i'll come back here again for whatever reason. holidays.. ok, maybe for holidays. but not for studies, man. it's not the kind of place i wanna be. studying here is like studying in smu, nus or whatever cos asians tend to stick to each other like glue! and worse still, it's like having a malay society here. the difference? hmm.. no difference. i feel like am.. ermm.. home?? i guess, when you're away and stuff, you look for some sense of belonging. one of the 5 basic rules of living theory. but nah.. perth is just that.. nice.

at UWA. oldest uni in perth. the most authentic building i've seen.
if am ever made to stay in perth forever, just hang me. new fresh rope everytime there's an execution. australia does not give out anymore death sentences. they think it's inhumane.. ooohh.. singapore must be so inhumane, then.
shall not put photos of the people we hang with cos am not sure if they'd like it that much. but they're very nice people and one of the things that i will remember from this trip is definitely them.
i still have 5 days to go before i touchdown. in the meantime, i'll be off for our road trip now where i heard the weather is gonna go down to 0 degrees.
