hmm... i went straight home yesterday after work. discovered that going home by train was way cheaper than bus. since coming back and realising that it's less than a year to THE day, been thinkin of ways to save my money quickly. so, i won't be able to shop for the longest time. not unless i land myself a good job with a fat pay-check. maybe, i should just sell my soul and work for the govt..
the past few days of watching news have been quite... unchallenging. the format is the same this week. one: home news. that means, huang na case and a policy change mentioned in parl. two: world news. meaning, bombs, terrorists and more bombs. occasionally, if you're lucky, you might get to see blurred vision of naked soldiers on tv or a famous person launching her new book aka jk rowling. three: market. boring. but i should mention here that the wet market at my place has been closed to make way for... check this out, modernisation. so, all aunties and makciks, you have to find a way to travel to other markets which means you have to spend that extra cash to get on the bus or cab. then buy your barang-barang. then spend again on the bus/cab ride home before walking a far distant to get home. then by the time you're home, you're just too tired to cook. smart. of course, alternatives are available. NTUC and shop&save are around. inevitably, you'll just spend more money to buy groceries to pay for the air-con. but, i digress. last: sports. which means, soccer or some boring F1.
this week, parl was exceptionally dead cos they keep harpin on the NKF issue. please lah, move on can? why can't they talk about more serious things? like why some companies are not giving the half month bonus to their employees... like me.
i try my best to be emotionless about it. it's kinda wierd to have someone else holding your boyfriend's hands and be OK about it. i don't know how the hollywoodies do it. wait till my parents see it on tv for themselves. sure ask questions one..
