hopeful dream that might come true
12:44 - 15.08.05

i spent my sat outside with the boy. what joy! we went furniture, cloth and mak andam hunting around the city area. decided that leather has a certain classy and timeless effect. can't wait to get the room done! prices are quite manageable at the moment. mum was just surprised that we won't be busting our moolah on the furniture. i guess, back then people loved to spend a lot on their furnitures. oh well, that was what hantaran was all about. but now... lucky for us, times have changed. furnitures can be sooo DIY nowadays. however, we've yet to reach s stage where we look thru home deco magazines. hmm... there's no need to anyway. like i told her, the only thing that we're redecorating is our room cos the rest of the house has been made up. like, am moving in to the house not the other way around. am still grappling with that issue, you know. takes time and lotsa getting used to. it saddens me, oh yes it does. but not as much as it used to. nowadays, thanks to the capable brain of mine that's able to block out certain unhappiness that i would rather forget, i could happily go on gushing about the home room decor with ease. that was a long sentence, sheesh thanks to the boy too. our taste seem to gel quite well. maybe it's our flighty nature. almost ok with everything. so leather it shall be, babe!

i was mildly disappointed that i can't vote this time. i mean, it would have been my first historic moment. i must have been naive and foolish or something to that effect. who else could ever run against a govt endorsed candidate, right? maybe next time then. in 5 years. i can't help but have this nagging feeling that singaporeans just can't move on without the push of our govt. it's happening almost all around us. the most sickening feeling coming from my own community. urrrghhh. let's just hope i can migrate somewhere else when i have a kid.
